Havent done any serious work with it but it appears to record and playback fine. Click Startand type device manager into the search field. I would hate to buy a computer without a Ti after testing it and having it work prefectly, and then have it start intermittently giving me problems!

My own first experience building a system incorporating Firewire into a Pentium 1 PC followed that path - a cheaper VIA board wouldn't work with some things, got one with a TI chip, no problems ever.
